When I sat down to blog about Carole and Kurt's wedding, the first sentence I wrote was, "This was the most beautifully perfect day." And I sat on it for about fifteen minutes, stuck on what more I could say that would do the day justice. It really was beautifully perfect -- the weather, the couple, their friends and family, the venue, all the details, and even the sunset! Sunset photos happened to be the icing on the cake that day (or the cheesecake, because that's what they served -- YUM). Carole and Kurt got ready separately at Olympic Hills -- their venue for the entire day, and one of my favorite places to photograph weddings. After an emotional first look and private vow exchange, we had fun taking their wedding party and family photos. The ceremony was beneath the venue's pergola, where the couple married in front of a group of their closest friends and family. Afterwards, everyone went upstairs to the ballroom for the reception dinner. During toasts, Carole's maid of honor shared some advice with Kurt: "Remember, she lives for sunsets; they rejuvenate her soul." We sneaked outside with the video crew afterwards, only to have the most beautiful sunset I've had all year, complete with a full moon. After first dances, Carole's family surprised her with a guest appearance from "Dumb and Dumber," -- Carole's favorite family joke. Our evening ended with sparkler photos, both in an exit-style, and also spelling out "LOVE."
Congratulations Carole and Kurt! <3 <3 <3
