Wedding Photo F.A.Q.
The typical turn around for wedding photos is 6-8 weeks after your wedding, and another 2-3 weeks for your keepsake album. This might seem a long time, but I make sure that each and every photo is re-touched and edited its absolute best. (Can’t wait? Don’t worry – I always post a couple preview images on Facebook.)
The list below covers the common wedding photography shots. However, it only highlights posed images, or shots that typically occur within weddings. Candid photos are not on the list, but are included on photo USBs (and are sometimes some of the most fun!)

Your photos, of course! There’s more to it than that, however.
All USBs have the edited images from your wedding. Depending on what sort of coverage you went with, it could range anywhere from 400 to over 1000 photos! Every photo file will come high resolution, making it perfect for all your printing needs.
Print Resolution - These photos are high-resolution, large files. They are edited and sized for any size prints, on almost any type of photo paper. To best fit customer needs and expectations, I make proof prints of these photos for myself before delivering the photo USBs, ensuring that the photos will look good no matter where they’re printed.
The best place to get your photos printed is from my website! All online albums have photo ordering capabilities that are fulfilled by several business partners that excel in their products. Anyone who has access to your password-protected album can order (and download) photos from your wedding. The best part is that I do not raise prices -- anything you order through my website is priced at the vendor's cost.
That said, your photos have been edited so that they’ll come out looking good no matter where you print them. I make sure to do quality test prints at major photo printing stores (such as Target, Walmart, and Walgreens).
Many professional photographers retain all copyrights to their photos – but I like to do things a little differently. When clients sign a photo release contract with me (a necessity for all professional photographers), they are agreeing that I will retain the copyright to the photos. However, I like to use a “flexible” contact, meaning that if you’d prefer I not use your likeness commercially, then we can adjust the contract to reflect your wishes. (Please note that I would never sell your images to a third-party, such as iStock or Shutterstock. The commercial use of images will remain only within promotional materials related to Rachel Torgerson Photography, such as brochures, business cards, or Facebook posts.)
Clients are also free to make as many reproductions of their photos as they like. I do this because even though I was the photographer, the photos are of you. The photos you receive from your wedding will be watermark free, with a note of reproduction permission (which is required by most places that offer walk-in photo printing).
